Early Years Practitioner – Newport
Start Date: May or June 2026
Pay: £92.63 per day
We are looking to recruit a committed and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to work within a friendly and supportive primary school in Newport. You will be based in the Early Years / Foundation Phase, supporting children's learning and development in a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the delivery of the Early Years / Foundation Phase curriculum
* Work alongside the class teacher and Early Years team
* Encourage learning through play, both indoors and outdoors
* Support children's social, emotional, and educational development
* Observe and contribute to children's progress and assessments
* Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
Person Specification
* Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification (or equivalent)
* Have experience working within an Early Years or primary school setting
* Be caring, patient, and reliable
* Have strong communication and teamwork skills
* Understand safeguarding and child protection procedures
* Hold an enhanced DBS, or be willing to apply for one
