The job is Care Assistant at Watford House Care Home in the beautiful High Peak, offering high quality residential, respite, and dementia care for 36 residents. The position is available as full‑time, part‑time, or bank hours, with a pay rate of £12.21 per hour for days and nights.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist residents with daily routines, from dressing to staying active, encouraging independence.
* Follow and support each resident’s personalized care plan, providing hands‑on help.
* Monitor health, communicate concerns to nurse or clinical deputy manager, and coordinate calls to relatives.
* Uphold dignity, respect, and well‑being of residents.
* Promote social interactions, encouraging engagement with other residents and staff.
* Maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces with housekeeping support, and respond promptly to emergencies or call bells.
* Assist residents with eating and drinking to meet nutritional needs.
* Bring joy and positivity to residents’ lives.
Qualifications & Experience
* NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care preferred, but not essential.
* At least 6 months of experience as a Care Assistant preferred; applicants with passion and transferable skills welcome.
* Genuine interest in caring for the elderly and commitment to excellent service.
* Demonstrated integrity, respect, and teamwork.
