Overview
Invictus Education Trust is seeking a Director of Education (Secondary) to join our Executive Team. The role starts January 2026 and is a permanent, full-time position (37 hours per week, all year round). Salary is in the Executive Leadership Pay Range points 17 to 21 (£109,914 - £120,464 pa, pay award pending). Pension is via the Local Government Pension Scheme.

Your Role
* Be the strategic lead for school improvement and student outcomes across the secondary phase.
* Work closely with the CEO, DCEO, and school leaders to foster a culture of high expectations, inclusivity, and ambition.
* Drive Trust-wide educational strategy aligned with our core values: Respect, Resilience, and Relationships.
* Lead and support Headteachers to improve attainment, curriculum quality, and professional development.
* Champion success for all and develop robust quality assurance systems rooted in data and evidence.
* Prepare and support schools through Ofsted readiness and recovery.
* Foster collaboration and innovation across the Trust and beyond.
About You
* Proven success as a Headteacher, Executive Head, or equivalent in secondary education.
* A strong track record of improving outcomes in diverse contexts.
* Expert knowledge of curriculum, data, SEND, and inclusive education.
* Inspiring communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
* A deep commitment to educational equity and student wellbeing.
* Passionate about building leadership capacity, developing others, and contributing at Executive and Board level.
