Key responsibilities

1. Design, plan, and conduct high-quality, independent research aligned with the project aims
2. Critically analyse, interpret, and present experimental data with scientific rigor and reproducibility
3. Develop, refine, and implement experimental methods, protocols, and analytical techniques
4. Stay current with relevant scientific literature and integrate new findings and methodologies into ongoing research
5. Collaborate effectively with internal lab members and external partners, including participation in interdisciplinary projects
6. Provide mentorship, training, and guidance to junior researchers and PhD students
7. Contribute to the academic life of the institute by attending and participating in lab meetings, journal clubs, and seminar programmes
8. Present research findings at national and international conferences and meetings
9. Publish results in high-quality, peer-reviewed scientific journals
10. Support the smooth running of the laboratory by contributing to shared responsibilities and day-to-day operations
11. Support the preparation of research grant applications, including contributing to the development of proposals and gathering preliminary data

Essential:
12. PhD (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field (, bioinformatics, computational biology, molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, developmental biology, genetics)
Previous work experience required (will be assessed from application form and at interview):

13. Proven experience in single-cell omics data analysis and visualisation
14. Proficiency in Python and/or R
15. Experience with statistical analysis, machine learning methods, and high-performance computing
Desirable:
16. Experience with spatial transcriptomics, 3D genome analysis, or epitranscriptomics
17. Familiarity with multiomics integration techniques
