Come and join us as a Finance Analyst to work alongside our Finance Manager and support our growing Rebates Finance team.
The rebate collection analyst plays a pivotal role in the timely and accurate collection of rebates debt across the City Plumbing estate. This role involves working closely with commercial/finance teams and external stakeholders (Suppliers) to ensure rebate debt is collected in line with agreed payment terms, and reconciliations are completed back to our accounting records.
Attention to detail is crucial, as supplier agreements vary widely, and you will be responsible for verifying the accuracy of rebate payments received. Building strong relationships with both the commercial and finance teams is essential, as is persuading them of the importance of following processes to ensure payment accuracy and proper accruals. Good organization and focus will be vital for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage supplier rebate debt collection and aged debt within our rebate system.
2. Allocate and approve rebate payments received via credit note & BACS daily.
3. Create and allocate supplier debit notes monthly to recover outstanding rebate debt.
4. Manage queries from internal and external stakeholders through the rebates mailbox.
5. Perform rebate reconciliations, report variances to stakeholders, and ensure timely communication.
6. Support month-end close tasks, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
7. Provide analytical reports on supplier trends and outstanding debt.
8. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure debt collection aligns with expectations.
This is a hybrid role offering flexibility to work from home, but candidates should be within commuting distance of our Crick, Northamptonshire office.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills
* Studying towards full qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA).
* Excellent Excel skills or Google Sheets.
* Analytically-minded with stakeholder engagement experience.
* Ability to handle large data volumes and produce analytical reports.
* Strong communication, presentation, and time-management skills.
Ideal candidates may have experience in roles such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, Financial Accountant, Finance Analyst, Finance Business Partner, within sectors like Construction, Building Merchants, Building Products, Fleet, or Supply Chain.
