About the role
We are seeking a Project Manager to oversee electrical infrastructure projects, ensuring objectives are met within schedule and budget. Responsibilities include:
1. Leading electrical/power distribution network projects from start to finish
2. Developing project plans covering scope, schedule, budget, and resources
3. Coordinating with engineering, procurement, construction, and operations teams
4. Ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols
5. Monitoring progress, managing risks, and implementing mitigation strategies
6. Managing project documentation such as contracts and change orders
7. Building relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors
8. Conducting reviews and evaluations post-project for continuous improvement
About you
You are highly motivated, with a professional qualification in engineering and/or project management, and at least 5 years of experience managing construction projects or in electrical engineering and asset management. You excel under pressure, thrive in fast-paced environments with multiple stakeholders, and have excellent organizational skills. Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and a commitment to exceeding customer expectations are essential. Experience with Transpower/Vector projects is a plus.
