Job Description
We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. In this role, you will work in a fast-paced retail environment where no day is the same. Your responsibilities include providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and maintaining the store’s appearance. You will focus on improving service through on-the-job coaching and feedback, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for customers and staff.
You will be Responsible For
* Serving customers with passion and pride, delivering natural service.
* Encouraging customer feedback through surveys.
* Assisting across all store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines.
* Practicing safety procedures learned during training.
* Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events.
* Understanding store performance and contributing to profit goals.
* Living company values, making everyone feel welcome, and following policies.
* Clocking in and out accurately for payroll.
* Following security procedures and wearing safety equipment.
* Following the 'Think 25' policy when serving age-restricted products.
* Responding to assistance calls and explaining actions to customers.
* Maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
* Potentially managing shifts in absence of supervisors.
* Following all safety and legal training.
Note: If the store has a Post Office Local, duties include managing its operations, which requires passing a financial and criminal background check.
