Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Pub Manager to join our vibrant team. Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality environments, particularly with supervising or team management responsibilities, is highly desirable. Responsibilities
* Assist in overseeing daily pub operations, ensuring smooth service during shifts
* Support food preparation and cooking processes to maintain high-quality standards
* Supervise staff including serving personnel, kitchen staff, and baristas to ensure efficient teamwork
* Manage customer relations, addressing any concerns promptly and professionally
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards throughout the premises
* Assist in organising staff schedules and managing shift rotas
* Contribute to menu planning and food production activities as needed
* Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and placing orders when necessary
* Uphold a welcoming atmosphere that promotes excellent hospitality and customer satisfaction
Qualifications
* Proven experience in restaurant, hospitality, or bar environments, with a focus on food preparation and service
* Supervising experience or team management skills within a busy setting
* Strong knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
* Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage staff effectively
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour suitable for engaging with customers and team members alike
* Knowledge of culinary practices, food production, and kitchen operations is advantageous
* Experience in hotel or barista roles is considered a plus but not essential
