A North London based food ingredient business is looking for a Technical Manager to join its team. In return you will receive a salary of £48,000 pa plus 24 days holiday + Bank Holidays, Buying / Selling Holiday (via Salary Sacrifice), Pension Scheme up to 10% contribution from the company + Death in Service benefit, Employee Assistance Programme and Enhanced Maternity Pay (after 2 years service).
As Technical Manager you will be responsible for:
* Managing the Food Safety & Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with HACCP, VACCP, TACCP, food defence, BRC, GMP, FEMAS, and EU/UK regulations.
* Conducting internal audits, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring supplier documentation, certifications, and ingredient traceability are maintained to the highest standard.
* Liaising with pest control and cleaning contractors, auditing operations to continually improve hygiene and sanitation standards.
* Creating and implementing food safety and health & safety training programmes, supporting production staff to enhance compliance and standards.
* Managing and supporting the Lab Team Leader and QA staff, ensuring QMS procedures and documentation remain accurate, up to date, and fit for purpose.
