We are working closely with a number of welcoming and values-led middle schools across Dorset who are seeking an experienced Teacher of Maths to join their teams on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident classroom practitioner with strong behaviour management to deliver high-impact Maths teaching during this crucial stage of pupils’ learning. The Role Deliver engaging, well-structured Maths lessons across Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3, building confidence and secure mathematical understanding. Use assessment and pupil data to plan effective lessons, interventions and stretch opportunities for mixed-ability learners. Support pupils’ transition from primary to secondary-style learning, helping them develop independence and resilience. Create a calm, positive and purposeful classroom environment with high expectations for behaviour and effort. Contribute to departmental planning, whole-school numeracy strategies and collaborative working. The Ideal Candidate You will: Hold QTS (or equivalent) with proven experience teaching Mathematics. Be confident teaching across upper KS2 and KS3. Demonstrate excellent behaviour management and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils. Deliver consistently high-quality lessons that support, challenge and engage learners. Use a range of strategies to monitor progress, close gaps and raise attainment.
