The Financial Reporting and Control team is growing in response to the demands of a fast-growing business and an increasingly demanding control and governance environment. Led by the Group Financial Reporting Manager who reports to the Head of Group Financial Reporting, the team works closely with transactional finance teams (credit control and accounts payable) and other business operations. The team is responsible for the timely and accurate reporting of company figures both internally and externally. Leading finance transformation through reporting excellence
The successful candidate will be a key member of the Financial Reporting and Control team within a thriving FTSE-250 company. You will drive the accuracy and timeliness of corporate reporting, both internally and externally. As the team expands to meet business growth and complexity, this role offers the chance to get involved across various reporting areas and implement improvements to enhance reporting quality. You will work closely with multiple business functions.
As Financial Reporting Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:
* Managing and developing your team while supporting senior finance leadership.
* Evolving technical accounting and reporting in areas such as revenue recognition, IFRS 15, SBP, Consolidation, FX, and intercompany transactions.
* Providing accurate financial statements, variance analysis, and ensuring audit readiness.
* Leading project-based initiatives and continuous process improvements.
* Collaborating with different business functions to maintain effective controls and compliance.
We'd love you to have
* Experience managing and motivating teams with a proactive approach.
* A recognised accounting qualification and over two years' post-qualification experience in industry.
* Strong technical accounting and analytical skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills, with a drive to succeed and develop in a collaborative environment.
* Confidence working with large datasets, advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with finance systems such as Oracle NetSuite.
