About The Role
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and ambitious Communications Consultant within our rapidly growing Client Communications Team, with a real desire to help the Team deliver market-leading communications for members of the workplace pension schemes we administer or advise.
You will be a part of a rapidly expanding team of 20, supported by other functions across the business, to deliver clear and simple communications that help educate and engage members.
This role provides the successful candidate with a range of excellent opportunities to develop their pension communication skills whilst working in one of XPS’s fastest growing teams. You will work alongside the Head of Client Communications, the Client Communications Manager, the Head of Digital Engagement, and our team of Communications Consultants, Creative Communications Consultants, and Digital Consultants, to deliver solutions for all clients across the Group.
Key Responsibilities
Important aspects of the overall role will include:
* Client management
* Project delivery and oversight
* Core delivery of communications consulting services, including.
* Drafting/reviewing/proofing content
* Working collaboratively with creative designers
* Interpretation of key pensions legislation
* Project management
* Budget and finance management
* Assisting with tenders and prospecting
* Helping drive marketing initiatives
Essential
Your Profile:
* Varied pensions communications experience in a client-facing role
* Experience of working with both DB and DC pension schemes with good technical knowledge of both
* Experience of developing communications, distilling complex topics into simple language for audiences with varying degrees of understanding, using multiple communication channels, managing web content
* Experience of working with clients to understand their needs and keeping them fully informed of the progress of their various work streams
* Knowledge of best practice communication and engagement tools, including digital and social media
* Able to provide clear and concise written and verbal communications, appropriate to the audience
* Some experience of project methodology and managing projects end to end
* Meticulous approach to work, particularly when dealing with writing/editing/proofing copy
* Well organised and positive attitude with the ability to plan, prioritise and effectively manage their work
* Desire to contribute and implement ideas for improving processes and procedures
* Good interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work well under pressure, across multiple projects; delivering to time and quality standards.
* Experienced user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
* Experience in marketing/business development would be beneficial but not essential.
