Responsibilities
1. Supervise a team of approx. 30 welders/fabricators to meet production targets and deadlines
2. Maximise workflow efficiency and ensure high levels of productivity
3. Maintain and improve quality standards across all welding and fabrication activities
4. Ensure all staff are trained and competent to required standards
5. Work independently, using initiative to solve problems and improve processes
6. Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
7. Uphold and promote company and client standards, guidelines, and best practices
8. Produce performance reports, KPIs, and documentation when required
9. Ensure full compliance with Health and Safety requirements and safe working procedures
What We’re Looking For
10. Proven experience as a Welding Supervisor, Fabrication Supervisor, or Engineering Team Leader within a manufacturing or engineering environment
11. Strong hands-on experience in welding and fabrication (MIG, TIG, MMA)
12. Ability to read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings and welding symbols
13. Experience in either high-volume fabrication or custom/precision fabrication environments
14. Solid understanding of HSE regulations and safe working practices in welding and fabrication
15. Formal welding qualifications (coded welder status or equivalent)
16. Time-served apprenticeship / NVQ / City and Guilds in Welding or Fabrication
