Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Learning & Development (L&D) to establish and lead the sales training function across the emagine group (offices located in Europe and Middle East). This strategic role will focus on designing and rolling out a solution-oriented sales philosophy across multiple sales teams specialising in staffing, managed teams,, managed services, advisory, and training, via a near and off-shoring, delivery model. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building strong relationships with individual country managers, managing stakeholders and developing tailored sales training content that aligns with the organization’s culture and vision. This role will lead the setup of the L&D function, working closely with key stakeholders to deliver a L&D framework and project phases for training implementation. The Head of L&D will also hire and manage L&D specialists to ensure consistent delivery and cultural alignment at the local level. Key Responsibilities: L&D Strategy & Framework Development: Develop and implement the overall L&D strategy for the sales teams across the group, ensuring alignment with the company’s business objectives and sales philosophy. Build a comprehensive sales training framework that includes project phases, milestones, and deliverables for the rollout of sales training programs. Drive learning operations to ensure seamless delivery of L&D opportunities and to drive a future-ready learning strategy that delivers measurable impact: Define and track KPIs to assess the effectiveness and ROI of L&D programs. Establish feedback loops to continuously improve offerings and ensure alignment with evolving needs. Demonstrate measurable improvements in capability development, employee engagement, and organizational performance. Training Content Development & Delivery: Design and develop tailored training content based on the emagine sales philosophy, including training materials, presentations and resources that reflect emagine’s vision, culture and business objectives. Lead the delivery of sales training programs, using a variety of methods including workshops, webinars, and online platforms, ensuring content is engaging and impactful. Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, adjusting content and delivery methods as required. Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Building: Develop strong, collaborative relationships with country managers and senior stakeholders across diverse sectors and countries. Understand local market dynamics and sector needs to customise training and development approaches, ensuring high engagement and adoption. Work with Country Managers to identify SMEs as well as L&D champions who can support with local delivery of the programme Manage key stakeholder expectations and communications throughout the project phases to ensure alignment and successful execution. Team Management & Development: Hire, onboard, and manage an L&D specialists who will assist with the on-the-ground execution and support of sales training programs. Mentor and guide the L&D specialist to ensure they effectively represent the emagine’ s values, terminology, and cultural nuances in their training delivery. Provide regular coaching and feedback to sales teams and stakeholders to drive continuous improvement. Competencies & Best Practices: Ensure that training is aligned with the latest L&D best practices, incorporating modern techniques such as blended learning and relevant e-learning / digital platforms. Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging learning technologies to continuously enhance the L&D offering. Work closely with senior leadership to track the success of training initiatives and ensure continuous development of sales skills across all teams. Qualifications: Experience: Proven experience (8 years) in a senior L&D role, ideally within a global, fast-paced sales organisation, Experience in managing L&D functions across multiple regions (Europe, Middle East) and understanding of diverse cultural nuances. Experience in staffing (recruitment), and/or consultancy businesses is a must have. Strong background in designing and delivering solution-based sales training to diverse teams. Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of instructional design principles, learning management systems (LMS), and digital learning tools. Expertise in developing blended learning programs and e-learning content. Proficiency with performance tracking tools and data-driven training evaluation techniques. Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to engage, influence, and collaborate with senior leaders and diverse stakeholders across regions. Demonstrated experience in managing and building high-performing L&D teams. Ability to drive change management and organisational development initiatives through L&D strategies. Desirable Qualifications: Certification in Instructional Design, Learning & Development, or relevant professional training.
