We are working closely with several SEN and SEMH provisions across the Wigan Borough who are looking for a Behaviour Specialist to join their team. This full-time role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of pupils with complex behavioural, emotional, or mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver targeted behaviour support to pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
* De-escalate challenging situations and implement positive behaviour strategies
* Work in partnership with SENCOs, class teachers, and pastoral staff
* Support students with SEMH and behavioural needs to engage in learning
* Help develop and maintain Individual Behaviour Plans (IBPs)
* Contribute to a safe, nurturing, and structured school environment

We're Looking For Someone Who:
* Has previous experience working with pupils with SEMH or challenging behaviour (in education, youth work, care, or similar settings)
* Can remain calm, consistent, and professional in high-pressure situations
* Understands trauma-informed and restorative behaviour approaches
* Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Holds relevant qualifications/training (e.g., Team Teach, MAPA, de-escalation training) – preferred but not essential
* Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all pupils
