A hands‑on role at the heart of The Pinnacle
At NCHA, we’re proud to provide safe, well‑managed homes where people feel supported and connected. As our Building & Housing Manager, you’ll be the on‑site lead at The Pinnacle - making sure the building runs smoothly, repairs are completed promptly, and residents receive clear, consistent support.
This role is ideal for someone who is practical, people‑focused and confident taking ownership of both building safety and customer experience.
The Role
You’ll take responsibility for the day‑to‑day running of The Pinnacle, combining hands‑on building care with excellent customer service. From logging repairs to carrying out small maintenance jobs and keeping communal areas clean and well‑presented, you’ll be the building’s “eyes and ears” being able to identify issues early and making sure they’re dealt with effectively.
Your work will directly shape how safe, supported and informed residents feel in their home.
What You’ll Lead
* Daily repairs and maintenance, including logging issues and carrying out basic handy‑person tasks
* High‑standard presentation of communal areas, including occasional cleaning
* Regular walk‑throughs and safety checks, with a strong focus on fire safety and hazard spotting
* On‑site coordination and monitoring of contractors, ensuring work is completed safely and to standard
* Strong relationships with residents, offering reassurance, practical help and clear updates
* Effective communication between residents, contractors and NCHA teams
* Accurate record‑keeping of repairs, compliance checks, resident interactions and contractor activity
What You’ll Bring
* Experience in a customer‑facing role, ideally within housing, building management or compliance
* Practical skills and confidence handling minor maintenance tasks
* Strong knowledge (or willingness to develop) in areas such as CDM 2015, Asbestos awareness, building regulations and housing standards
* CIH Level 3 or willingness to work towards it
* Excellent organisation, clear communication and the ability to remain calm and consistent
* A proactive, problem‑solving mindset and commitment to NCHA’s CLEAR values
* Ability to work independently while contributing to wider team priorities
* Competent IT skills and attention to detail in reporting
* Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends when needed
You’ll work 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with your primary base on site at The Pinnacle (Northampton).
Why NCHA?
You’ll join a supportive organisation with a strong sense of purpose and a reputation as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces™.

Please note: We are not currently offering visa sponsorship.
