Head of Electrical Projects / Electrical Project Manager South London Office Sites Across London & Southeast £65,000 – £75,000 (up to £80,000 DOE) Bonus Car Allowance Introduction An established building and refurbishment contractor with a £6m annual turnover is seeking a Head of Electrical Projects / Electrical Project Manager to lead its dedicated commercial electrical division. Operating across London and the Southeast, the company delivers a blend of refurbishment, maintenance, compliance, and installation services for housing associations, social landlords, and commercial clients. This is a senior role, pivotal to managing a £3m turnover electrical installation arm, covering projects from £50k to £2m including lighting upgrades, landlord infrastructure, and electrical refurbishments. The Role As Head of Electrical Projects, you will take responsibility for the full lifecycle of commercial electrical schemes — from pricing and procurement through to operational delivery and final handover. Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, your key responsibilities will include: Pricing and estimating electrical projects across commercial and residential sectors. Managing schemes both commercially and operationally, ensuring profitability. Overseeing a dedicated business unit of engineers, supported by agency/subcontract labour. Conducting regular site visits across London and the Southeast to monitor programmes, progress, and variations. Delivering compliance and installation projects such as emergency lighting, fire alarms, door entry systems, landlord infrastructure, and electrical re-wires. Maintaining divisional performance to support consistent business growth. The Candidate We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded professional who can balance technical expertise with leadership responsibilities: Strong background in electrical contracting, ideally with exposure to compliance and installation works. Experience in pricing, managing, and delivering projects valued up to £2m. Solid commercial acumen — budgets, costs, and value management. Capable of managing a team of engineers plus subcontract resources. Strong interpersonal skills and cultural fit for a close-knit management team. In Return Salary Up to £80,000 (DOE).
