Receptionist/Nottingham/Tollerton/Bank/Ad-Hoch Shifts
Spire Nottingham Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a receptionist to join the Bank team.

Duties and responsibilities:
To provide a complete front-of-house reception service to patients, consultants, guests and visitors and in doing so project a professional and caring image with Customer Service at the forefront.
To provide a full patient administrative function in support to the administration team and the OPD bookings team
1. Welcoming, registering and directing patients, consultants and hospital teams as required, in a proactive, warm, professional and caring manner and in such a way as to provide confidence and exceed customers’ expectations.
2. To liaise with the ward clerk/nursing station on the arrival; of inpatients and daycare patients and register patient arrival onto the SAP system.
3. To use the computer system SAP for: Obtaining minimum data set information (including credit card details) from all patients to maintain accurate records. Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed daily prior to clinic.
4. To maintain confidentiality of all information acquired with regard to patients, consultants and staff and not on any account to disclose information about affairs of the hospital, its subsidiaries or associates.
5. To use the hospital switchboard, responding to incoming calls in a prompt, efficient and courteous manner, directing to the appropriate person and taking messages as necessary.
6. Monitor all email accounts associated with the department and take any necessary actions (amend / cancel clinics
7. To be able to arrange transport, couriers, etc on behalf of the hospital staff and patients.
8. Complete reception procedures and processes in the event of an emergency eg. Fire alarms, door release etc.
9. Dealing with daily post and distributing as required
10. To complete open and closure procedures for reception
11. Ordering stationery for the department
12. Present a professional image at all times in terms of dress, appearance and personal conduct.
13. To be flexible as this role shift work
14. To be flexible in order to cover sickness and absence.
15. Attend statutory/mandatory training sessions.
16. To undertake any other duties as directed by the Administration Manager or Lead
Who we're looking for:
17. Excellent communication skills
18. An ability to prioritise and manage a flexible workload in response to patient/consultant demands is critical.
19. Ownership and resolution of problems is the key to success in this role.
20. Knowledge and understanding of the Spire’s IT systems including SAP, Datix and Microsoft Office.
21. Ability to communicate with patients and colleagues by telephone, email and face to face.
22. To have a flexible approach to changes in working methods and to be able to adapt to new situations
