About the role: As the IT Asset Specialist, you will oversee the full lifecycle of SARIA Food and Pharma’s IT assets, which include hardware, software and related licenses from acquisition to disposal. Being an effective collaborator and communicator in this role is key, as you will work closely with IT Vendors and Procurement to acquire new IT hardware and software, whilst ensuring that our purchases are cost efficient and meet the needs of a growing business. Responsibilities: Ensuring that all IT assets are accurately inventoried, tagged, and tracked within asset management systems Maintaining an up-to-date record of asset status, including location, user assignments, and condition Coordinating with IT vendors for procurement, warranty management, and support services, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with contracts Monitoring and tracking software licenses to ensure compliance with vendor agreements, avoiding over- or under-licensing situations Conducting periodic software audits to ensure legal compliance with licensing laws (e.g., Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, etc.) Optimizing software licensing costs by consolidating licenses and together with Procurement negotiating with vendors when appropriate Generating and maintaining reports on asset inventory, usage, depreciation, and compliance for senior management and internal audits Ensuring that all IT assets are managed in compliance with company security policies and relevant data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) Overseeing the secure disposal of IT assets according to approved process to ensure that all data is properly erased before hardware is recycled or decommissioned Collaborating with IT teams and security teams to ensure assets meet organizational and technical requirements Working with finance teams to manage asset budgets, ensuring expenditures align with the company’s financial goals Recommending improvements to IT asset management processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs Tracking and managing IT asset budgets, ensuring that purchases and maintenance costs are within approved limits Identifying opportunities for cost savings in IT asset management, such as renegotiating vendor contracts, consolidating software licenses, or optimizing hardware utilization About You: Minimum of 5 years of (technical) experience in IT device management, IT asset management, IT procurement, or a related role Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field / equivalent experience Experience in managing IT hardware, software licenses, and vendor relationships ITIL certification or similar IT service management certification Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP) or other relevant certifications Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Can work in synergy with internal and external stakeholders Fluency in English is essential for this role Ability to work independently whilst being an effective and collaborative team member Desirable: Knowledge of the following technologies / vendors: Microsoft InTune Ivanti Security FreshService LANsweeper Device42 Asset Tracking Tools What can we offer?
