Role: Market Performance Data & MI Senior Analyst - 6 Month FTC. This role supports the Office of the Chief of Market Performance, focused on delivering high-quality data analysis and management information that enables strategic decision-making and performance oversight across the Lloyd’s market.
Overview: The Data & MI Analyst will provide analytics and insights to the senior leadership team of Market Performance, highlighting market, syndicate or class level trends and supporting external and internal presentations.
Responsibilities
* Lead the preparation of a variety of qualitative and quantitative reports and management information for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring outputs are accurate, insightful, and aligned with strategic priorities.
* Manipulate data, produce insights and recommendations to support informed decision making and communicate key messages related to performance management, and syndicate and class performance.
* Design and deliver high-impact MI and analytics, interpreting trends, identifying risks and opportunities, and making strategic recommendations to the Senior Leadership Team.
* Own the end-to-end MI process within the Office of the Chief of Market Performance, including data extraction, production, analysis and visualisation; ensure reporting is timely, relevant and supports market performance oversight at market, syndicate and class levels.
* Create and collate MI for the Market Performance SLT, coordinating with Directors to ensure MI reflects their areas; produce monthly/quarterly reporting packs at market, syndicate or class level and collaborate with Portfolio Analytics to identify performance drivers and action plans.
* Support external and internal communications by providing data-driven insights, analysis and visual materials for presentations, including market messages, speeches, training, regulatory requests and annual results; maintain a central library of collateral.
* Drive continuous improvement in reporting and analytics, identifying areas to enhance reporting, dashboards, processes and applications to create efficiencies.
* Extract and analyse data from key systems (e.g., Business Objects, Qlik Sense, Dynamics) to support decision-making and reporting.
Skills & Experience
* Analytical capability with strong data manipulation skills (Excel, Power BI, Qlik Sense).
* Ability to produce clear, insightful MI and performance reports for senior stakeholders.
* Strong communication skills – ability to summarise complex data into clear narratives.
* High attention to detail, thoroughness and accuracy.
* Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
* Effective relationship builder and stakeholder management skills.
* Proactive and self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset.
* Skilled in creating dashboards and visualisations to support decision-making.
* Creative problem solver with the ability to develop innovative solutions.
* Confidence and experience in making informed decisions.
* High data literacy with knowledge of BI tools such as Business Objects and Qlik Sense.
Experience
* Proven experience in producing MI and preparing reporting packs for different stakeholders.
* Experience analysing market, syndicate, or class-level performance data.
* Track record of supporting strategic decision-making through data insights.
* Demonstrated ability to contribute to continuous improvement of reporting and analytics processes.
* Experience working collaboratively across teams to deliver high-quality outputs.
