Job Description We are looking for a hands on Data Protection Coordinator to join our team in Bury St. Edmunds, who wants to combine great customer service skills with precision, attention to detail and methodical approach to every task. As a Data Protection Coordinator, you will be required to: Monitor Greene King’s compliance with data protection law (primarily the UK Data Protection Act, UK General Data Protection Regulation and the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations), the statutory codes issued by the Information Commissioner and relevant policies which Greene King puts in place Conduct data protection impact assessments Conduct transfer risk assessments Manage, classify and respond to data incidents, Assist the Data Protection Officer in cooperating with the Information Commissioner in respect of any enquiries it makes in connection with its role as the UK data protection regulator maintain records of processing as set out in the UK GDPR e.g. records of processing activities (RoPA), records relating to data subject rights-related requests, records relating to data incidents and personal data breaches In respect of data subjects you will need to: Ensure that data subject’s rights-related requests are dealt with correctly and in a timely fashion Correspond with data subjects by telephone and email to acknowledge and respond to their data protection rights requests Manage requests for disclosure of personal data from third parties (police, insurers, licensing authorities, third party employers) Liaise with support centre and pub team leaders to retrieve personal data Prepare personal data for sharing with data subjects and third parties which involves the use of document redaction and video editing software Ensure requests are processed quicky, efficiently and on time (as required by law), escalating complex cases to the DPO for assistance Keeping accurate records of the progress and outcome of each request
