Summary
The Area Account Manager will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with retail and wholesale customers across the UK. This role requires a mix of account development, business growth, and customer service. The position will involve frequent travel to client sites nationwide, building strong relationships, delivering on service levels, and driving sales performance.
Responsibilities
* Manage and develop a portfolio of retail and wholesale accounts across the UK.
* Build strong, long-term relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders.
* Drive sales growth by identifying new opportunities within existing accounts and securing new customers.
* Develop account plans to maximise revenue and profitability.
* Monitor and report on sales performance, customer activity, and market trends.
* Deliver product knowledge, training, and support to customers as required.
* Negotiate terms, pricing, and promotional activity in line with company strategy.
* Ensure customer satisfaction by resolving queries quickly and effectively.
* Collaborate with internal teams (sales support, marketing, logistics) to deliver excellent service levels.
* Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in account management or field sales, preferably in retail/wholesale or related industries.
* Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
* Commercial awareness with the ability to negotiate and influence.
* Results-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
* Organised, self-motivated, and able to manage time effectively.
* Willingness to travel extensively nationwide.
* Good IT skills (CRM systems, Microsoft Office).

Pay: £40,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
