Aircraft Maintenance Instructor (EASA Part 147) | Worldwide – Head Office in Peterborough. Home-based with flexible working; training delivered globally or via virtual classroom. Courses last 3–30 days | Full Time | £45,000–£50,000 per annum / £450–£500 per day (Contract)

Our client is an EASA Part 147 approved Maintenance Training Organisation (MTO) specialising in high-quality aircraft maintenance training — including Type Training to the standards specified in EASA Part-66 B1/B2 on the aircraft listed below (Both theory and practical courses).

ATR 42-200/300 series (PWC PW120)
ATR 72-100/200 series (PWC PW120)
ATR 42-400/500/72-212A (PWC PW120)
De Havilland DHC-6 (PWC PT6)
Bombardier CL-600-2C10/2D15/2D24/2E25 (GE CF34)- CRJ 700/900/1000
Bombardier DHC-8-100/200/300 (PWC PW120)
Bombardier DHC-8-400 (PWC PW150)
Embraer EMB-135/145 (RR Corp AE3007A)
Embraer ERJ-170 Series (GE CF34)
Embraer ERJ-190 Series (GE CF34)
Embraer EMB-505 (PWC PW535) – Phenom 100
Embraer EMB-545/550 (Honeywell AS907)

They also provide consultancy services covering regulatory compliance, organisational approvals for Part 145 and Part 147 entities, and tailored training solutions for aviation maintenance organisations.
You will be joining a respected and growing training provider with potential development opportunities, including pathways to gain or expand formal instructor authorisation.
Location & working environment
Head Office in Peterborough. The individual will normally be based at home with flexible working and will generally deliver training at customer sites throughout the world or through a virtual classroom. Course durations typically range from 3 days to 30 days.
Are you the right person for the job?
Essential Attributes:
Qualified Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (B1, B2, or Preferably B1/B2)
Completed type training on at least one of the organisation's approved aircraft types (preferably multiple types)
Recent hands-on experience (within the last 15–18 months)
Strong understanding of EASA Part 147, Part 145 and Part 66 regulations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Computer literate, with the ability to produce and present technical documentation
Willingness to travel for training delivery and assessment activities
Desirable Attributes:
Previous instructional experience within an EASA Part 147 Training Organisation
Experience developing or delivering type training courses
Knowledge of EASA UG.CAO (Foreign Part 147 User Guide)
Additional aircraft type ratings or multi-type experience
Development Opportunity:
This role is also suitable for a Qualified LAME (B1/B2) with strong technical knowledge and type training who is interested in moving into Training. Full training and support can be provided to help the right individual achieve EASA Part 147 instructor authorisation.
Normal personnel and continuation training will be provided. Potential for development as an instructor and expansion of capabilities according to company needs.
What will your role look like?
Deliver high-quality theoretical and practical Aircraft Type Training to the levels specified in EASA Part-66 and associated refresher/regulatory training
Conduct examinations and practical assessments
Provide instruction across airframe, engine and avionics disciplines (as relevant)
Support course development and continuous improvement
Maintain compliance with Part 147 training and regulatory standards
Represent the company during on-site training delivery across the UK and abroad (as required)
Working hours
Regulations limit instructors to 6 contact hours per day when delivering theory training. Practical training will normally align with customers' shift patterns. When not delivering training, Full-time staff will work from home with flexible working based around a standard 37-hour week.
