About The Mind Open Psychological Assessments

The Mind Open Psychological Assessments provides a variety of evaluations based on an individual’s needs. Some of these evaluations include:

* Court-admissible psychological evaluations used to support decisions around legal guardianship
* Vocational evaluations to determine strengths and weaknesses for employment
* School evaluations to determine students’ needs

We partner with families, attorneys, and care teams to deliver ethical, clear, and high-quality assessments for individuals who are often neurodivergent or navigating complex care needs.

Our work makes a direct impact — and we are looking for the right person to help us grow.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a recent graduate or early-career LLP who is excited to build hands-on testing experience and be trained in a system that prioritizes clarity, fairness, and compassion. You don’t need years of experience — you just need strong writing skills, a good attitude, and a willingness to learn.

We will teach you how to administer assessments, gather the right clinical information, and write professional reports that matter. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to work in the field, help real people, and grow as a clinician.

What You’ll Be Doing

* Administer standardized in-person assessments and conduct clinical interviews, based on the referral question (We will train you on our tools and process)
* Write clear, accurate psychological reports used in court or service eligibility cases
* Work closely with our team to ensure every report meets our standards for quality and professionalism
* Communicate with clients, families, and other professionals with warmth and respect

Requirements

* Master’s degree in Psychology
* Located in or near Metro Detroit with access to reliable transportation
* Strong writing and critical thinking skills
* Curious, teachable, and eager to grow
* Comfortable working independently in the field after training, with in-person support from our team
* Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
* Willing to complete a background check as part of the onboarding process, in alignment with the needs of the populations we serve

Nice to Have (But Not Required)

* Any experience with psychological testing (through school, practicum, or clinical rotations)
* Experience working with people with developmental disabilities or in systems of care
* Bilingual or multilingual (not required, but helpful)

Compensation & Structure

* 1099 contractual position
* Commission-based pay per completed assessment (Split based on supervision and referrals)
* Flexible scheduling based on your availability
* Full training and ongoing support from our team

This is a hybrid position. You’ll conduct in-person assessments with clients in Metro Detroit and complete scoring and report writing remotely. Our team assists with scoring and backend logistics, allowing you to focus on the clinical and written components of the work.

Why Work With Us

* Hands-on experience with real clients — not just paperwork
* Training that sets you up for long-term clinical success
* Clear expectations, fair pay, and a supportive environment
* A chance to make a real impact on people’s access to care and services

To Apply

Email your resume and a short introduction to Peyton at themindopened4@gmail.com.

In your message, please tell us about:

* Any experience you have with psychological assessments or diagnostics
* Or — if you’re just starting out, the coursework you’ve taken that prepared you for this role, and how you performed in those classes

We especially encourage applications from recent graduates and those looking to build real-world testing experience. If you’re teachable, detail-oriented, and motivated to grow, we’d love to hear from you — even if your resume is short.
