Press Setter / Operator – Alcester, Warwickshire (B49). Day shift: Mon-Thurs 07:30-16:30, Fri 07:30-12:30. £14.12 - £15.39 per hour. Permanent.
Opportunity for an experienced Press Setter / Operator to join an Alcester-based manufacturing business on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities
* Set up and operate presses in line with procedures and job card instructions
* Adjust and control press parameters (tool shut height, stroke, tonnage, dwell, lubrication)
* Use air tools, hand tools and measuring equipment safely
* Carry out in-process inspections to ensure components meet quality standards
* Maintain accurate WIP records in the MRP system
* Support root cause analysis, continuous improvement and 5S activities
What were looking for
* 1-2 years\' experience in aerospace, engineering, manufacturing or machine setting/operating
* Familiar with a range of presses and quality/manufacturing standards
* Self-motivated, disciplined and detail focused
* A positive, "can do" attitude with strong teamwork skill
* Willing to learn and take ownership of responsibilities.
