Leads, manages, and inspires a diverse team within the workshop, ensuring that they are motivated, well trained, engaged and empowered to perform their role effectively and efficiently. Creates and maintains a culture of trust and transparency, whilst adhering to operational and contractual processes, compliance, and regulatory requirements. Proactively makes plans and measures the effectiveness of their team in achieving business targets and financial goals, ensuring control processes and success indicators are achieved.

Works with both internal and external stakeholders maintaining business relationships and contractual processes to ensure business objectives are met. Specifically, oversees and maintains the efficient running of the workshop, preserving watches around the centre is timely for all Swiss Time customers and the high standards in which STS prides itself on

.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Leadership

Coaches, develops, and motivates Managers to achieve personal and operational goals, enhancing and refining their managerial and leadership competence in support of their respective teams. Ensures objectives and decision-making processes are clear, deliverable, and business orientated. Leads through example, collaboration and working to enhance operational practise. Mediates disputes between employees with compassion, whilst creating an environment of transparency and trust, advocating employee wellbeing. Takes ownership and accountability of these scenarios managing to a successful and agreed conclusion

* People Planning

Creates and maintains a comprehensive people plan, and is responsible for delivering the talent and development strategy, preserving a robust talent pipeline. Ensures the plan is dynamic to guarantee coverage within the budgeted FTE to meet both internal and external customers, and operational needs across the year. Ensures teams are equipped with the correct skills, are flexible, and resilient for both short and long-term goals of the business

* Operational Compliance

Leads by example and sets high expectations within the team and across the wider business. Ensures that all company policy and procedure are adhered to across Swiss Time so that our teams, customers, visitors, and property are protected. Will ensure that all brand contracts are adhered to across the tea

* Operational Management

Delivers and maintains operational excellence, ensuring adherence to all operational requirements. Ensures that the financial plans / direction of the business is supported by effective operational processes within their remit, proactively conducting regular reviews to maximise productivity, efficiency, and quality

* Commercial and Performance Focussed

Utilises quantitative and qualitative data to plan effectively and prioritise opportunities, specifically with regards to watch parts that are required. Will deputise for the Operations Manager while setting pricing, and all round management of the P&L

* Collaboration and Teamwork

Cultivates a strong team ethic across Swiss Time and amongst teams to maximise resource and talent effectiveness. Collaborates with teams across the business, forging strong professional relationships in accordance with the Swiss Time goals and the businesses overall strategies / objectives

* Communication

Uses excellent communication skills to collaborate with all teams, internally and externally to Swiss Time developing relationships and solutions and at varying levels across the business. Will be able to deliver both positive and challenging messages in written and verbal form. Makes sure that outcomes are agreed, clear and completed

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

* Must demonstrate knowledge of servicing and repair of watches
* Be passionate and curious in seeking to extend your knowledge of watches and pass this knowledge to the team and encourage your team to continually develop their knowledge in watches
* Excellent organisation and leadership skills
* Knowledge of performance evaluation metrics and principles
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal skills Excellent problem-solving abilities Strong businessacumen

* Proven experience of managing people and teams
* Previous experience in manufacturing and large teams.
