Meraki Talent is delighted to be exclusively supporting one of Scotland's recent success stories who have gone from strength to strength and as a result are now on the lookout for Assistant Management Accountant on a permanent basis in Glasgow. This would suit an ambitious individual who can implement process, take charge of the finance function and wants to become a qualified accountant and progress to a senior position.

The Role:
This role will involve working closely with the managing director managing the finance function end to end with the successful candidate gaining as much exposure and responsibility as they can take on.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
* Process invoices, expenses, and receipts using Xero
* Perform bank reconciliations and manage accounts payable/receivable
* Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with HMRC regulations
* Assist with month-end processes and basic financial reporting
* Costing, budgeting, forecasting and analysis
* Support the preparation of management accounts and reports
* Attend board meetings
* Collaborate with project managers on finance-related project tasks
* Perform day-to-day bookkeeping duties

Your Skills:
* PQ ACCA/CIMA or min 1 year experience of above duties
* Forecasting and budgeting
* CIS experience would be advantageous but not essential
* Strong interpersonal, organisational, and technical skills
* Ability to confidently build relationships with stakeholders
* Proficient in Xero or equivalent and Excel
