This Trainee Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst role is designed to build foundational expertise in surveying and analysis while providing robust on-the-job training and support. Key Responsibilities
* Assist with management, refurbishment, demolition, and re-inspection surveys across various property types
* Support the collection and documentation of bulk samples in accordance with HSG264
* Contribute to the preparation and review of survey reports under expert supervision
* Learn to perform 4-stage clearance testing and assist in air monitoring tasks
* Gain experience in supporting licensed asbestos removal projects and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
* Develop skills in generating clear and precise air monitoring reports in line with HSG248
* Participate in a structured training programme that combines on-the-job learning with formal technical instruction
* Work closely with experienced surveyors and analysts to develop industry-leading expertise
* Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and quality assurance processes
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* A keen interest in environmental safety, health, or related disciplines
* Basic knowledge or relevant coursework in asbestos management, environmental science, or a similar field
* Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and a willingness to learn
* A collaborative mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Full UK driving licence (desirable but not essential)
* Previous experience in a technical or industrial environment, including internships or placements
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* A proactive approach to personal and professional development
