Brentside High School is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic IT Support Apprentice to join their dedicated IT team. This role offers the chance to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic school environment, providing technical support to both staff and students. The successful candidate will receive on-the-job training while working towards a recognised qualification, developing key skills in IT systems, troubleshooting, and customer service. With a competitive starting salary of £18,000 £20,000, this is a rare opportunity to kick-start a career in IT not to be missed! In this role, youll work towards yourLevel 3 IT Support Apprenticeship,delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships. A Typical Day in the Job: Gain experience with scripting (PowerShell) to automate tasks, initially under supervision. Learn to interpret technical documentation using internal resources such as structured folders and a SharePoint-based knowledge base. Support the team in meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs) by responding to helpdesk tickets within set timeframes. Use a range of troubleshooting tools, including Active Directory, Imperial, and Wireshark, to assist in diagnosing and resolving technical issues. Provide technical support internally and externally via the helpdesk system, with a focus on in-person and email-based support. Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team. Salary, Hours & Benefits: £18,000 - £20,000 per annum Monday to Friday 8:30am 4:30pm, with 1 hour lunch break 25 days annual leave 22.5% pension contribution by school School gym available to staff after working hours Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge: Grade 4 in Maths and 5 in English is essential for this role Interest in working with computer Be willing to learn and follow instructions Work effectively under pressure Communicate effectively Your Training with Baltic: This apprenticeship provides the skills, qualification and experience you need to immerse yourself within an exciting, fast-moving industry and become an effective IT Support Technician.
