Job Description

Overview

OSI Electronics (OSIE) operates as a diversified manufacturer of electronic devices and a provider of value-added electronic manufacturing services.

We combine the global scale and purchasing power of an Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) provider with the agility and personalised support of a smaller organisation. Our aim is to build strong, long-term partnerships with customers across the security, medical, and high-technology sectors—helping them solve complex, real-world challenges.

Role Overview

Based at the heart of the UK electronics supply chain, this role plays a key part in supporting Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in bringing their products from concept to production. You will help translate customer requirements—such as CAD files and Bills of Materials—into a viable manufacturing solution.

Working closely with the Business Development and Commercial teams, you will provide essential administrative and commercial support, ensuring quotations and orders are accurate, timely, and fully aligned with our manufacturing capabilities. This role offers hands-on training across all aspects of commercial customer account management.

Responsibilities

1. Provide on-the-job support and training in Commercial Customer Account Management
2. Process and acknowledge customer orders within 24 hours of receipt
3. Manage quotation input, distribution, collation, and analysis in line with agreed timelines
4. Prepare and support Order Book (OOB) reviews for Account Managers
5. Handle quote processing from initiation through to completion
6. Manage end-to-end order processing
7. Import monthly customer forecasts into the ERP system
8. Raise and process customer concessions
9. Complete and submit new supplier forms
10. Take ownership of processing and expediting RMAs
11. Respond to general customer and internal enquiries
12. Liaise with internal departments to ensure requirements are met within agreed timescales
13. Confidently escalate issues when necessary, demonstrating a proactive and can-do approach
14. Consistently uphold the company’s core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork

Qualifications

15. Previous experience in customer service, purchasing, or account administration
16. Comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment
17. Confident using telephone systems and IT tools, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and ERP systems
18. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
19. Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
