Responsibilities
* Oversee the preparation and submission of accurate financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
* Lead and manage the financial accounting team, ensuring clear communication and effective delegation of tasks.
* Develop and implement robust financial controls and processes across the organisation.
* Provide insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making within a business of high stock.
* Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting.
* Manage the year-end audit process, liaising with external auditors as required.
* Ensure compliance with tax regulations and oversee the preparation of VAT returns.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the financial accounting function.
Qualifications
A successful Head of Financial Accountants should have:
* A professional accounting qualification such as ACA
* Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting and compliance within
* Proven leadership experience in managing finance teams effectively.
* Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax regulations (UK GAAP)
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Advanced proficiency with financial systems and reporting tools
