We are looking for an experienced Service Manager offering the following benefits; Excellent rates of pay between £35,000 to £40,000 22 days holiday (plus bank holidays) Up to additional 3 days holiday via salary sacrifice Private medical insurance Sick pay Attendance bonus scheme Company Pension Scheme A long-term permanent position with the opportunity for career development Great team Pleasant working environment Hours of work are 40 hours per week Inline with Black Box’s growth plan and our continued success and expansion, a number of opportunities have arisen for an experienced, Service Manager working out of our headquarters in Chorley, Lancashire PR6 7BX Reporting directly to Head of Service you will be an integral part of the Service Department team for the whole of the Black Box Group Our ideal candidate requirements: Liaising with Head of Service & Customer Relations Manager with any updates Liasing with the Assistant Service Manager Managing team attendance Continuous review of efficiency in department Define the team approach, including adherence to process, as well as tailoring of the process as required. Check the service teams work for technical accuracy. Identify, specify and manage demand for service team resources, ensuring that appropriate staff are available and that there is clarity between teams, to support delivery of the solution. Lead and co-ordinate engineering recruitment, staff development and training aspects. Working with the Sales and Operations Team to define and manage the engineering scope within budget/timescales and drive the service team delivery accordingly. Set the culture of the team as delivery-focused, through strong alignment to company values. Report progress to and manage the team issues in consultation with other stakeholders, both internally and externally. Direct, motivate and provide leadership for the team Any other ad hoc duties requested via your manager.
