Role reports to the EMEA Financial Reporting and Control Manager and is responsible for legal entity and branch financial control and reporting for specified countries within the EMEA region.


Key Responsibilities

* Manage and control all book-keeping, accounting, statutory, regulatory, internal reporting, corporate tax and VAT for the EMEA non-UK branches and subsidiaries allocated to this role.
* Maintain strong controls and reconciliations over all general ledger and accounting data.
* Collaborate with billing, purchasing and banking teams, country office management, and offshore colleagues to ensure transactions are properly recorded, controlled and approved; ensure accruals and prepayments are reflected monthly.
* Manage relationships and service standards with external service providers.
* Prepare for and present at monthly review meetings with management and at Board meetings as required; explain material variances clearly.
* Work with regional Finance teams to manage internal recharges under Transfer Pricing in a compliant and efficient manner.
* Collaborate with the EMEA Financial Control and Reporting team to meet common goals and objectives.
* Develop and maintain trusted relationships across the wider business, providing financial leadership and guidance.
* Develop a wide range of internal and external contacts to obtain/exchange information and implement best practices to maintain competitive advantage.
* Contribute to strategic projects and ensure timely planning information is provided to regional management and Finance partners.
* Analyse and interpret financial and non-financial information to support business and financial performance; advise and challenge as needed.


About The Candidate

* A professionally qualified Accountant with a proven track record of delivery and ownership of responsibilities.
* Experience working with senior internal and external stakeholders; strong teamwork and high professional technical competence.
* Experience in the fund management industry (preferable) with detailed knowledge of financial and regulatory reporting requirements.
* Ability to influence and communicate across all areas of the business and to challenge at a senior level constructively.
* Experience working with external auditors; good understanding of operational and accounting processes.
* Ability to manage time and prioritise multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines.
