We are looking for a Healthcare Bid Writer to produce professionally written proposal content that clearly articulates our offer to clients in a clear and concise manner. This role will focus predominantly on Health and Justice healthcare services in prisons and associated opportunities.
You can expect to work closely with clinical and operational colleagues, as well as Subject Matter Experts to develop compelling written proposals and responses to tender questions. As a strong and confident communicator, you'll have the opportunity to develop your stakeholder management and networking skills.
You will be expected to frequently communicate with people via emails, telephone calls, video conferences, and occasionally face-to-face meetings. This role is an office-based post, but we can consider enabling working from home arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Developing and writing all method statements in line with specification requirements, reflective of the budget and model devised.
2. Working with external Bid writing company to help to ensure that high-quality, compelling bids are submitted in a timely manner
3. Working collaboratively and effectively with Subject Manager Experts (SMEs), ensuring that local intelligence is utilised to inform the strategy, complementing wider research and intelligence gleaned through strong and powerful networks.
4. Leading and supporting the development of ad-hoc, business opportunities when required, developing business cases that secure additional funding and upselling of our portfolio.
Ideal Candidate:
5. Experience of having submitted Healthcare Health and Justice bids or having procured Health and Justice Healthcare bids a minimum requirement for this role
6. Recognised qualification or relevant experience in a writing related field e.g. technical writing, report writing, content or copy writing, journalism, NHS Health and Justice Procurement or a bid writing background
7. Proven track record of winning public sector tenders in the health care marketplace particularly in delivering Mental Health, Physical Health, Dental and Specialist care in Secure Settings, General Medical Practices locations in the community or having procured Health and Justice Healthcare tenders
8. Experience of research to inform the development of written responses/documentation
9. Proven experience in a business development role
