Quality Inspector Location: Leeds, UK Salary: 34,000 - 38,000 Hours: 07:30 - 16:30 (Monday to Thursday), 07:30 - 14:00 (Friday) About Us: We are a well-established machine shop with multiple CNC machining centers, specializing in precision engineering. Our commitment to quality and excellence drives our success. We are currently seeking a Quality Inspector to lead our measuring activities and ensure the highest standards of quality. Role Overview: As the Quality Inspector, you will oversee all measuring activities within our machine shop's metrology department. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the measurement of machined parts using our CMM. You'll work closely with our quality team to ensure that production parts meet drawing requirements and adhere to inspection schedules. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain measurement programs using CAD software. Interpret customer 3D models and drawings to create accurate measurement programs. Generate detailed inspection reports and maintain proper documentation. Collaborate with colleagues, customers, and suppliers to communicate technical information effectively. Ensure compliance with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) standards. Familiarity with quality management systems. Optional knowledge of visual inspection and non-destructive testing (NDT). Qualifications and Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Valid driving license. Previous experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment is advantageous. Strong organizational skills and ability to make informed decisions. Team player with excellent communication skills. Willingness to learn and adapt to new software tools (training provided).
