Mechanical Design EngineerPermanent; full timeBury; HybridDo you have experience designing HVAC systems within building services or similar environments?Are you confident using AutoCAD, Revit MEP or similar design tools?Do you have a degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering or equivalent?What's in it for youSalary £50,000 to £60,000 depending on experience25 days holiday plus bank holidays; option to buy or sell up to 5 additional daysPension; 5% employee contribution and 6% employer contributionSingle private healthcareLife assurance; 4x salaryGroup income protectionHealth cash plan36.5 hour working week; early finish at 2pm on a FridayWhat will you be doing?Design HVAC systems including ductwork, piping and equipment layoutsCarry out heating and cooling load calculations using industry standard softwareSelect HVAC equipment and produce detailed technical specificationsDevelop design drawings and documentation using AutoCAD, Revit or similarEnsure compliance with building regulations, CIBSE and BS EN standardsWork closely with project managers and multidisciplinary engineering teamsAttend site for inspections, commissioning and troubleshooting when requiredSupport cost estimation and procurement activitiesIncorporate energy efficient and sustainable design principlesKeep up to date with new HVAC technologies and industry developmentsWhere will you be doing it?Established engineering business with over 150 years of heritage; specialists in HVAC and ventilation systems for safety critical environments; delivering projects across energy, defence and transport sectors; collaborative design environment working alongside experienced engineers and project teamsWhat will you need?Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering or equivalentExperience in HVAC design within a building services or engineering environmentProficiency with AutoCAD, Revit MEP and BIM workflowsExperience with HVAC design tools such as Hevacomp or similarStrong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics and heat transferKnowledge of CIBSE and relevant UK building standardsAbility to carry out detailed engineering calculations and problem solvingStrong communication skills and ability to manage multiple projectsIdeally working towards or holding CEng or CIBSE membershipImportant Information: We endeavour to process your personal data in a fair and transparent manner.
