Milk Education is currently recruiting Teaching Assistants to work across primary and secondary schools in Kirklees and Castleford. We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and experienced individuals who are passionate about supporting children’s learning and development.

This is a supply role, offering flexible work to suit your availability while gaining experience in a variety of school settings. In these supply roles, you will have the opportunity for Long-Term work, Permanent Work and Day to Day Work.

The Role:

1. Supporting teachers in the classroom across EYFS, KS1, KS2, or secondary settings
2. Working 1:1 or in small groups with pupils
3. Providing additional support for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
4. Creating a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
5. Following school policies and safeguarding procedures

Requirements:

6. Recent classroom experience – must have worked in a school setting within the last 2 years (with certain exceptions depending on overall experience)
7. Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
8. Experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant (highly desirable)
9. First Aid training (ideal but not essential)
10. Strong communication and teamwork skills
11. A genuine passion for education and supporting young people
