General responsibilities:
PLEASE NOTE: This role will involve 1-2 nights out per week.
· Driving company vehicles, specifically 3.5 tonne vans and LGV's up to Class 1. (Depended on licence class)
· Delivering Supalite products to customers throughout UK & Ireland
· When required help to load company Vehicles. (If you have no delivery and are working in the yard)
· Follow all legal requirements when driving LGV's, and ensure licence details are kept up to date.
· Inform your manager of any changes to your licence immediately.
Duties:
· By the nature of the job start times are flexible and are pre-arranged by your Manager dependent on customer requirements, you are expected to arrive at customers within these agreed times which in turn can mean early starts.
· Ensure your load is safe and secure before departure.
· Complete all vehicle checks and fill out defect books as per Managers instructions before departure.
· Please ensure your roof deliveries are downloaded on to your POD app on your work phone before you leave the factory. Ensure you check the roof off with the customer and get the customer to sign on the POD or Manifest.
· Always ensure you have the correct Check sheet before you leave the Depot. This is required to check your roof off and return it back to the transport Coordinator. Who you should report to for a debrief.
· All Delivery's must be photographed and attached to the POD app or sent to your Manager on his WHATS APP.
· All discrepancies must be reported back to your manager immediately.
· Be courteous and respectful to customers at all times.
· Only use your Company FX card for Company use, and always get a receipt and return it to the Logistics Manager.
Health & Safety:
· Relevant PPE must be worn during working hours (Hi Vis & Safety Boots/Shoes).
· Advise Manager of potential Health & Safety issues.
General:
· Fulfil any other duties reasonably requested by Management.
· As you are customer facing it is expected that you maintain a professional clean and tidy appearance at all times.
· Keep Manager informed of any potential issues.
· Secure yard and Building also reset alarm system when you attend site out of normal hours.
