Neuro Occupational Therapist

Responsibilities
* Join a wonderful team of therapy and nursing professionals in a 20 bed inpatient rehabilitation unit.
* Work with the team providing specialist evidence based Occupational Therapy to patients with Stroke / Neurological conditions.
* Engage in continuous professional development and share learning with the team to foster a culture of development, innovation and improvement.
* Act as an active member of the Holywell inpatient therapy team specialising in stroke and neurological conditions.
* Support the OT team and the wider multi-disciplinary team in developing the service to ensure integrated, evidence‑based practice.
* Provide specialist assessment and treatment of stroke and neurological conditions.
* Provide advice, guidance and information to health and social care professionals, patients, carers and relatives.
* Be responsible for a caseload of complex physical, cognitive and emotional needs and facilitate positive rehabilitation outcomes and timely co‑ordinated discharge plans.
* Support across Hertfordshire bedded units as staffing requires.
* Supervise members of staff and students.
* Participate in a 7‑day service covering weekends on a rota basis.
