Role Summary
The Workshop Engineer will inspect, identify problems, strip and repair motor and gear boxes to meet customer standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure workflow procedures are followed.
* Ensure plant maintenance is carried out and recorded.
* Dismantle and inspect rotating plant equipment and assess appropriate fixes.
* Carry out workplace risk assessments and method statements where necessary.
* Provide guidance and technical support to personnel and apprentices.
* Re‑ refurbish pumps and rotating equipment, including stripping and painting.
* Maintain workshop presentation standards and keep the working area clean.
* Ensure the quality of work meets customer expectations.
* Deliver jobs in line with customer timescales.
* Follow strip and inspection procedures for all parts.
* Handle customer site work as required.
* Follow all company H&S policies and procedures to ensure safety.
* Promote a culture of working safely as a routine.
* Work closely with customers to understand and address their needs, continually providing high levels of service.
* Deliver on commitments, taking personal responsibility to ensure customer satisfaction.
Skills and Experience
* C&G Mechanical Fitting H03 & H25 or equivalent.
* Knowledge of pumps fundamentals.
* Fully conversant with all types of pumps.
* BPMA is advantageous.
* Driving licence.
