Job Title: Azure Consultant Location: Bristol- 1 day per week in the office Salary: Up to £85,000 Industry: Professional Services Overview Were looking for an experienced Azure Consultant to join our internal IT team within a leading Professional Services organisation. This strategic role will be central to the design, implementation, and ongoing management of both our Azure and Microsoft 365 environments, supporting the businesss digital transformation and cloud-first strategy. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience architecting and delivering robust Azure solutions, along with a strong understanding of Microsoft 365 administration, integration, and security. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and deployment of Azure-based infrastructure and services across internal systems. Work closely with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Own the implementation of new Azure services, ensuring performance, security, and compliance standards are met. Develop and maintain high- and low-level architectural documentation. Ensure effective governance, cost optimisation, and monitoring of Azure resources. Act as the subject matter expert (SME) on Azure within the internal IT function. Support ongoing cloud migration and modernisation initiatives. Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to ensure alignment with best practices. Champion automation through tools like Terraform, Bicep, PowerShell, and CI/CD pipelines. Key Requirements Extensive experience in Microsoft Azure design and implementation in enterprise environments. Strong understanding of core Azure services: Virtual Networks, VNets, NSGs Azure Virtual Machines, App Services, Functions Azure Active Directory & Identity Azure Storage, Key Vault, Defender, Monitor Proven ability to work on end-to-end cloud projects (design through to build and deployment). Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) ARM, Bicep, or Terraform. Understanding of Azure governance, security, RBAC, policy management, and cost control. Experience working in a professional services or regulated enterprise environment (preferred). Certifications (Required): Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert Why Join?
