An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a commercial paralegal to join the London office of a leading global investment management firm. This is a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you’ll work closely with an experienced legal team, gaining exposure to complex commercial arrangements that support the firm’s international operations.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will assist the Legal team with a wide range of commercial contracts and corporate arrangements, including:
* Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements such as:
* Supplier and vendor contracts (e.g. IT services, software licensing, facilities, and consultancy agreements)
* Non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and confidentiality undertakings
* Engagement letters and professional services agreements
* Marketing and sponsorship agreements
* Data processing and data sharing agreements, in line with data protection laws
* Outsourcing, procurement, and operational services contracts supporting global business functions
* Event and training services agreements and other day-to-day business contracts
* Supporting the contract management lifecycle, including execution, filing, and maintaining accurate records in contract databases.
* Assisting in the review and implementation of contract templates and legal process improvements.
* Conducting legal and regulatory research relevant to commercial and data protection matters.
* Liaising with internal stakeholders (such as Procurement, Compliance, and Finance) to ensure legal documentation aligns with corporate policies and risk frameworks.
* Coordinating with external counsel on discrete matters where necessary.
About You
* Strong academic background (minimum 2:1 degree, with a First Class degree advantageous).
* At least 1 year of experience as a paralegal with a focus on commercial contracts — gained in a law firm or in-house legal team.
* Excellent drafting, organisational, and communication skills.
