At Rennie Grove Peace, our unique care provides a lifeline of compassion and support to patients, carers, and families facing life-limiting illness in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. Following a merger of Rennie Grove Hospice Care and Peace Hospice Care in October 2022, the Charity is now one of the larger hospice charities reaching an incredible 1 million people through our services with a team of over 370 employees and over 1600 volunteers. Our goal is to serve 7,500 patients a year.
The Director of Transformation & Improvement is a new role responsible for driving digital transformation and organisational efficiency across the newly merged organisation. Responsible for all aspects of IT, Estates and Continuous Improvement, you will lead the identification, development and implementation of digital first opportunities across our business models, patient and supporter experiences and our operational processes.
As a member of our Executive Board, you will work alongside the colleagues, and their teams, to identify areas of the Charity that can be transformed and improved, allocate the project management resources and guide the resulting change to ensure the agreed improvements are achieved.
Reporting to the Chief Executive, the Director of Transformation & Improvement will be a key member of the Executive Board working with colleagues on the development and implementation of the strategy of the Charity.
The new Director of Transformation & Improvement will also be responsible for contributing to the ongoing development of our culture by embracing our vision, role modelling our values and driving positive colleague engagement.
The Candidate
* Demonstrable substantial experience of project management and a track record of success in an environment of change.
* Experience in addressing the strategic and operational factors that impact performance, such as organisational design, process improvement, technology enablement, information requirements.
* Experience selecting technology solutions that enhance user experience, and improve data management.
* Have the ability to influence effectively in a team environment with fellow senior executives, the Chief Executive and Trustees.
* Be comfortable working at a strategic level as well as at an operational and tactical level.
* Highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Empathise with the vision, purpose and aims of the Charity and be a perfect match with the Charity’s values and culture.
