Responsibilities
This is a full-time on-site role for a Fabricator/Welder at Steelway Protect in Newcastle. The Fabricator/Welder will be responsible for fabricating and welding steel components, interpreting blueprints, operating welding equipment and ensuring the quality of finished products
* Keep accurate records of electrical work performed
* Fabricating Sheetmetal components - 3mm Mild Steel / Mig Welding. Dressing must be to a good standard
* Fabricating Structural Steel components in 6-15mm Mild Steel / Mig Welding
Candidate must be able to read Engineering drawings and be able to work on their own or as part of a team if required.
Essential Experience
* Proficiency in fabrication and welding techniques
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints
* Experience in operating welding equipment
* Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols in welding
* Strong attention to detail and quality of work
* Physical dexterity and strength for manual tasks
* Certification in welding or related field is a plus
* Previous experience in steel fabrication industry is beneficial
