About the role:

We are seeking a Plumber / Mechanical Engineer to join our team, working Monday to Friday, between 8 am and 5 pm. You will cover several schools in the area, for which a company van will be provided.

The successful candidate will perform both planned and reactive maintenance, with good knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, Pumps, Heating systems, AHUs, water systems, and Legionella Control.

Key Responsibilities include:

* Assist in delivering maintenance services in line with the contracted agreement, ensuring timely and within budget delivery, working with the Hard Services Manager.
* Support the Hard Service Manager in the day-to-day operations of the Greenwich School contract PFI.
* Be flexible to support Tower Hamlets Schools PFI contract in cases of staff shortages, sickness, or leave.
* Work with the Hard Services Manager to meet contract SLA’s and KPI’s, including periodic documentation audits.
* Carry out PPMs within competency and complete them within allocated timeframes.
* Collaborate with the Hard Services Manager to ensure smooth service delivery.
* Monitor WIP (Work In Progress) to ensure job closure through Concept.
* Maintain all M&E Statutory Compliance records for inspection through audits.
* Complete and submit all required data as requested by the Hard Services Manager.
* Assist in the daily maintenance operations at assigned sites.
* Maintain high health and safety standards in the workplace.
* Supervise visitors and contractors under G4S management.
* Monitor site documentation, maintenance records, and logs to ensure scheduled PPMs are carried out.
* Report monthly activities and statutory requirements to the SSMT via the Administrative Assistant.


The Ideal Candidate:

* Experience with PFI school contracts.
* Previous experience in a similar role.
