Job Title: Credit Controller

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Credit Controller to join a well-established business based in Ripon. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong client relationships while managing cash flow effectively.
Key Responsibilities
* Opening new accounts and managing a portfolio of customers on a day-to-day basis
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Proactively chasing outstanding debt via calls, emails, and written communication
* Coordinating payments to support cash collection and reduce aged debt
* Resolving queries relating to outstanding invoices
* Negotiating and managing repayment plans where required
* Escalating complex cases for third-party collection where necessary
* Maintaining accurate customer records and updating internal systems
* Monitoring and managing credit limits in line with company procedures
* Supporting account reconciliation and ensuring processes are followed
Skills & Experience
* Credit Control or cash collection experience is essential
* Experience working in a sales-driven environment is advantageous
* Strong IT skills, particularly Excel and finance systems
* Excellent communication and telephone manner
* Strong organisational skills with a proactive, team-oriented approach
* High attention to detail and a methodical working style
* Confident in negotiation and decision-making
