We are searching for a Head of Data Operations to join the team to support our growing business.
The Head of Data Operations will lead our data management strategy and oversee the operation of the firms data processing systems. This role requires a unique blend of leadership, technical acumen, and a hands-on approach to data management. The ideal candidate will ensure that data systems are reliable, scalable, and can support thecompany's data analytics and business intelligence needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement a data operations strategy that supports the organisation's objectives.
* Taking accountability for ensuring that operational control standards are embedded into new and existing data operation initiatives and that automation is paramount.
* Lead a team of data professionals in managing the data lifecycle, including acquisition, validation, storage, protection, and processing.
* Ensure data quality and consistency across various databases and systems.
* Act as a key stakeholder to our technical teams to contribute to the design, deployment, and maintenance of our data infrastructure.
* Define data governance policies and establish best practices for data management.
* Manage external vendors and assume escalation responsibilities.
* Drive innovation through evaluating and adopting new technologies for data processing and analytics.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to support data needs across the organisation.
* Drive consistent, frequent, and impactful communications around all change within data operations and report on data operations progress and challenges to executive leadership.
Required Education/Training & Experience
* In-depth knowledge of BDX processing relating to risk, claims and premium.
* In-depth experience with Tide, ViPR or other BDX management software.
* Strong project management skills, with a focus on interdepartmental communication.
* Understanding of database structures, data warehousing, data modelling, and ETL processes.
* Experience with cloud data solutions and SQL databases.
* Proven track record of managing business critical data operations systems and teams.
* Familiarity with data privacy laws and compliance frameworks.
* Proven management, communication and leadership skills company's data analytics and business intelligence needs.
