Job Description
The Lead Engineer will report directly into the Engineering Manager and be responsible for:
1. Lead and oversee the design, development, and implementation of manufacturing processes for aerospace components.
2. Identify opportunities for process improvements and apply lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and enhance efficiency.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, quality, and production, to ensure product manufacturability and maintain quality standards.
4. Develop and implement tooling and fixture designs, ensuring compatibility with equipment and product specifications.
5. Analyze and troubleshoot production issues, implementing corrective actions and preventive measures to sustain optimal performance.
6. Train and mentor junior engineers and production staff on best practices in manufacturing processes and standards.
7. Maintain compliance with regulatory and quality requirements, including AS9100, and FAA standards.
