About The Role
We are seeking a skilled CNC Setter to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring production requirements of work orders and production schedules are met in line with the company’s work instructions, quality standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
* Read and edit existing CNC programs, selecting the correct tooling to complement alterations within the process.
* Upload and download programs, set machines and monitor or inspect production, alter tool offsets, and operate the machine until the batch is complete.
* Monitor tool wear, adjust offsets, and replace tooling when necessary, ensuring correct operation of the machine.
* Produce components accurate to drawing.
* Ensure all work, tasks, procedures and documentation meet ISO 9001 requirements.
* Complete paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
* Take responsibility for the work area, ensuring high standards of housekeeping at all times.
* Demonstrate good teamwork ethic and commitment to the highest quality standards.
* Always follow health and safety requirements.

* Comply with the Integrated Management System (IMS) and minimize any impact on the environment while carrying out duties.
* Ensure and promote safe working conditions for all employees, visitors and contractors by implementing, monitoring and complying with occupational health & safety provisions.

Reporting Relationships
* Report to the Machine Shop Supervisor.
Size of Team / Environment
* Working in a team of 18 in one of the most advanced machine shops in the UK.
Education / Qualifications
* Good standard of secondary education.
* College qualification in an engineering discipline or NVQ is desirable.
Essential Requirements
* Time-served apprenticeship.
* Experience with CNC Machine Centre.
Desirable Requirements
* Experience working on Machining Centres, Mazak machining centres.
* Understanding of SPC.
