We have an exciting role on offer within our Neighbourhoods team as a Senior Area Care Manager (Tree Officer).
This is an exciting time to be working for Middlesbrough Council. The town is facing significant change and challenges with many new and quality developments occurring throughout the town. Environment & Community Services are at the centre of much of what is happening, and we are now looking to recruit a Senior Area Care Manager (Tree Officer) within the Area Care team.
To be successful in this role you need:
To hold a full, current clean driving license.
Relevant qualifications in arboriculture or related subject and experience in an appropriate area of work.
You will have a responsibility for:
Support the Neighbourhood Operations Manager in the provision of effective service delivery.
Assist the Neighbourhood Operations Manager with the process of review and change as appropriate.
Ensure effective management of resources available, within given budget and timescales.
Provide expert tree advice in relation to development & planning discussions, TPO’s and Conservation Areas.
Manage the provisions of emergency works in accordance with the council’s emergency call out procedures.
The core hours of the post are 37hrs per week, Monday to Friday 07:30 – 16:00. However, there will need to be an element of flexibility to cover weekend work, council meetings, events & emergency out of hours work. These hours could be subject to change.
